Paediatric Blended First Aid Course - 12 hr  
*(Blended = 6 hours practical learning plus 6 hours online)*

Who Should Attend: 
This course is suitable for people aged 16 and over who care for babies and children professionally: babysitters, nannies, child-minders, pre-school teachers, nursery nurses, teaching assistants, and those who run baby groups, playgroups, kids classes may also want to attend. 

The course runs in line with Ofsted and EYFS requirements.

Course Content:

Managing incidents
Basic life support for babies and children and Adults (CPR)
Examination of the casualty
Unconsciousness
Use of an AED
Choking
Anaphylactic Shock
Electric Shock
Asthma
Poisoning
Control of bleeding and wound management
Shock
Head injuries
Meningitis
Febrile and epileptic seizures
Diabetes
Burns and scalds
Eye, ear, mouth, and nose injuries
Fractures, dislocations, sprains, and strains
Effects of extreme hot and cold
Equipment and regulations

Course Requirements: 
This is an accredited course, where upon completion of the FULL 6hr day practical, face to face training, delegates will then be sent their online training login. Once the 6hrs online training has been completed and a test has been taken, the learner will be awarded a certificate which they can download and print. 

**You must have demonstrated your first aid skills and knowledge by taking part in all practical sessions and tasks as well as completing the online exam at the end of the course.**

My husband and I attended a first aid course with Little Lambs, and it was extremely informative. There were several important updates that I’m really glad I now know.
We even learned where our local defibrillators are located and about the increased survival rates when they are used. The course also covered local stab kits, which was particularly relevant given how sadly common these types of injuries are becoming.
Everyone in the class was friendly and willing to speak up, which I believe was down to the way Catherine delivered the course—she made everyone feel comfortable and engaged.
